Almost nothing beats a brand
When pitting a known brand against an unknown name, the known brand will be chosen 70-90% of the time. People like to choose the known rather than the unknown; the decision always feels safer, and the mere fact that someone knows your name will predispose them to choosing you rather than a name they have never heard before. When you are at a social function you gravitate towards those you know, not the strangers, because you’re acting within your comfort zone. So it is when choosing a product or service. You go for the familiar unless there is a very compelling reason to choose the unfamiliar and take a risk.
So all you have to do is become a known brand, become someone they have heard of. How you do that is up to you, but do it you must.
