Don’t fret over social media
When someone starts a new business, they can often get in a tizz about being all over social media. They realise that it can be a vehicle to new business, sales, leads and greater brand awareness. All these things are true yet so many expect instantaneous results. It rarely happens. You have to see social media as a long term channel for the development of your business’s public relations. Leads, sales and reputation will hopefully follow. But remember, just like any other market, everyone is trying to do the same, so even when you’ve been at it a while, there is no guarantee of a constant stream of interactions. But just keep going, keep letting people know you are there, because not to be there is definitely not going to bring you any business!
